The following events will be scheduled for 2008-2009. 3-D and NFAA Outdoor Field Tournaments will be held May-September.

Guest "Shoot for fun" non-competitive division is open to all ages and experience levels and you shoot at any distance

NFAA Field (28) Tournaments:  June 15, July 20, August

Indoor NFAA 20 yard Tournaments will be held Sundays during November 30th 2008,  January 18th & March 1st 2009 -Please Watch here for dates.  Registration 8-9:00 am.

 NFAA & Maine Archery Association Outdoor  August 16, 17 2008.  Pre-Registration is requested.

NFAA & Maine Archery Association & Abenaki Archers Guest Indoor Tournaments

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM  Old Town Archery Shop

Registration at begins at 9:00 am.  NFAA, MAA & Abenaki Archers members will compete for awards and ranking.  First Shooting Line at 10:00 AM, second line at 1:00 PM.  The Guest/Division tournament is for fun and certificates of Participation/drawings.  Please Join us!  NFAA, MAA and Club Memberships are available at the door or call (207) 827-9489 or e-mail the Old Town Archery Shop.   December & February tournaments will be the "Vegas 3 Spot/3 arrow" 450 round.  All others will be NFAA - 5 spot/5 arrow, 300 rounds.

Sunday Shooting lines at 9:00 AM & 1:00 PM. October tounaments do not count toward MAA shooter of the year.

@008-2009 Indoor Winter Leagues, Tournaments and outdoor 3- D Fun shoots!!!  Snowshoes or whatever you want to use!

I-95 Exit 197, go west on Rt 43, then  <1/4 mi. to Right turn on the W. Coiley Road, Old Town, ME. Range is 1500 ft Down on Left. PASSES & BADGES MUST BE PURCHASED AT THE ARCHERY SHOP BEFORE GOING TO RANGE!

NO Alcohol at any time, 3 Shooters to a group for Awards and no rangefinders during tournaments.

Realistic hunting scenerios...a variety of targets in challenging conditions!

Rest room (May until Mid November), Refreshments/Lunch will be available!

Old Town Archery Center's 3-D Club Memberships and individual/Family daily shooting Passes are Available at the Old Town Archery Pro-Shop.

  NFAA/MAA members Must put in a score each month to qualify for shooter of the year.

NFAA Maine Archery State Tournament

Held at Central Maine Archery

NFAA Blue & White 300 Round with 5 arrow ends

Friday March 7th 6:00pm Line Saturday March 8th 10:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm Lines

Sunday March 9th 9:00am & 1:00pm Lines

Any shoot offs that need to be held for tie breakers will be held after the completion

of the Sunday 1:00pm line.

All awards for State Tournament, Shooter of the Year and Shooter of the Year

Teams will be held at the completion of shooting on Sunday.

NFAA 2007-2008 other Tournaments:

· 2008 National Indoor Championship March · New England Indoor Sectional Shoot March , held at Lunenburg Sportsman's Club

· New England Outdoor Sectional Shoot June  held at Lunenburg Sportsman's Club

 Eligibility:A shooter must be a member in good standing of the Maine Archery Association and the NFAA. A guest division will be offered but the shooter will not be eligible for tournament awards or Shooter of the Year until they become members.  Scores recorded prior to membership will not be eligible. 

Tournament Format:

NFAA Blue and White 60 arrow round for the months of November and January. NFAA Vegas 45 arrow round for the months of December and February.  Xs need to be counted for all rounds. 

Fees:

Adult divisions = $10.00Junior divisions = $8.00Family rate of $20.00 Divisions: AT A MINIMUM more may be added at the discretion of the tournament director.Adult 18 & older male/female not combinedYoung Adult 15-17 male/female not combinedYouth 12-14 male/female not combinedCub up to 11 male/female not combined* Archers designated as Pro in the NFAA or any other archery organization will be required to shoot in the guest division. Shooting Styles: AT A MINIMUM more may be added at the discretion of the tournament director.Adult Divisions- Freestyle, Freestyle Bowhunter and Freestyle limitedYoung Adult, Youth and Cub Divisions- Freestyle and Freestyle Limited 

Shooter of the Year Award in all NFAA amateur sanctioned divisions:

A shooter’s best score each month will be submitted for Shooter of the Year calculation. A shooter must have a Blue and White score from November and January and a Vegas score from December and February to be eligible for shooter of the year. Total sum of all four scores and Xs will decide Shooter of the Year in each division.Any ties will be broken at the State Indoor Championship by a shoot off. The awards for Shooter of the Year will be given out at the Indoor State Championship in March. A trophy will be engraved with all the winners from the divisions for that year.
